Vietnamese artist wins 1st Chopin Int’l Piano Competition
The first Chopin International Piano Competition Singapore 2010 closed with the first prize of the category E awarded to Hoang Dong Fryderyk, an 18 year-old Vietnamese born in Warsaw, Poland.
The first Chopin International Piano Competition Singapore 2010 closed with the first prize of the category E awarded to Hoang Dong Fryderyk, an 18 year-old Vietnamese born in Warsaw, Poland.
Even though the Mazurka op.24 was the shortest piece, Fryderyk found it most challenging. He had to show its pure Polish.
This is the first time he attended such an international competition. Chopin is his favourite composer and he has been playing his works for many years.
