Vietnamese players on Monday, September 4, defeated U17 Bangladesh 2-0 in their first match in the finals of the Asian U17 Football Championship 2006 in Singapore.

Vietnamese players held the ball for most of the time, but it was not until the 55th minute that they were able to put it in the goal. Viet Trung was responsible for the first score for Vietnam. Trung put three into the goal of U17 Bangladesh during the Southeast Asian Football Championship 2006.

After the first goal, Vietnamese footballers played better and recorded the second goal in the 71st minute on Ngoc Danh’s penalty.

In another match in D Group, between China and Syria, China won 1-0. As a result, Vietnam’s U17 team currently is at the top of the D group.

Vietnam’s U17 team will play China on September 6.
