Singer Tung Duong performs the National Anthem. |
The “Vietnamese Heart - 50 Years Beating as One” festival, held from May 3 to 5, was jointly organized by the Vietnam - Japan Culture Promotion Organization (VJCP), Vietnamese associations and communities in the Kansai region to mark the 50th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - 2025). The event was sponsored by the Vietnamese Consulate General in Osaka and the Higashi Osaka municipal government.
The highlight of the event was when singer Tung Duong began singing the National Anthem in front of thousands of Vietnamese and Japanese spectators. As the anthem started, the entire audience stood up, their hands on their hearts, holding the red flag with a yellow star, facing the stage, where the powerful voice rose as a shared heartbeat of patriotism across borders.

Singer Tung Duong held that singing the National Anthem in Japan was an indescribable experience. He was so happy to join the event with his fellow countrymen abroad in such a sacred moment. He said that he was also deeply moved when he saw the audience raising the flag of his homeland and chanting “Vietnam! Vietnam!”
After singing the National Anthem, singer Tung Duong continued to perform other famous songs.
Notably, the song “Youth’s Aspiration,” burned the Hanazono Park’s atmosphere. Thousands of people sang the song together, waving red flags, creating a breathtaking image of Vietnam.
After his solo performance, singer Tung Duong surprised the audience by inviting MC Phuc Anh to join him in a duet, followed by the appearance of singers Duyen Quynh and Isaac. Together, the artists and thousands of Vietnamese spectators in Japan created a powerful moment - a choir about love for the country and the aspiring youth, sung from the hearts of the Vietnamese people abroad.
