The event aimed to introduce local Hanoians and foreign visitors about Tuyen Quang, its land and people, as well as the cultural values of the ethnic groups in the Northern province.

Various cultural and tourism activities would take place during the 2-day event including pavilions showcasing local cuisine, specialties, tourism products, a photo exhibition, Vietnamese traditional crafts, and art performances by people from the Tay, Dao, and Cao Lan ethnic groups.

Tuyen Quang provincial People’s Committee Vice Chairman, Nguyen The Giang, said that  the cultural event would preserve and promote traditional cultural values of the various ethnic groups which reside in Tuyen Quang and contribute to introducing local tourism activities to visitors.

“Visitors and delegates will explore mid-autumn festival lanterns show along the pedestrian street on August 31 night. This is a unique tourism product by local people that has been preserved and promoted for years. The lanterns depict legendary characters and famous national landscapes as well as national sea and islands,” Giang said.
