The exhibition, held in response to the 8th Buon Ma Thuat Coffee Festival 2023 from March 10 to 14, showcased 45 photos and 130 artifacts which are divided into eight themes corresponding to eight language groups and writing on costumes of ethnic groups in Dak Lak province.
The event aimed to popularize, honor, and spread the traditional cultural and aesthetic values of ethnic groups across Vietnam in general and in Dak Lak in particular.
In addition, through the event, Dak Lak Museum wanted to introduce the unique features of the culture and life of the ethnic communities to domestic and foreign tourists through the traditional costumes, jewelry, and everyday items.
According to Director of Dak Lak Museum Dinh Mot, this activity also helped disseminate and enhance the role and responsibilities of the community, especially the young generation, in preserving, protecting and promoting values of traditional costumes of their people, contributing to enriching and diversifying the culture of Vietnamese ethnic communities and creating a premise for the building of a prosperous and strong nation.
Over the past years, Dak Lak Museum has applied technology and gradually implemented digital transformation to collecting, preserving, displaying, and introducing values of historical and cultural relics to the public.
On this occasion, Dak Lak Museum also launched an automatic audio guide system to bring visitors new and interesting experiences. The stories featured in the automatic audio guide system will give visitors information and multi-dimensional perspectives on nature, history, culture, land and people of Dak Lak from the past to the present.
