The second Hong Kong – Vietnam Sailing Regatta will be held by the Saigontourist and the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club from October 25 to 27 with the participation of 13 yachts and about 130 yachtsmen from Australia, New Zealand, the UK, the Philippines, Canada, China, the US, France, Norway, Belgium and Vietnam.
The competitors will depart from Hong Kong at 11:00 am, October 25 and are expected to arrive in Nha Trang on October 27 (the regatta is 1,180 km-long and the 2004 record was 42 hours and 45 minutes).
Three Vietnamse yachtmen – Nguyen Quoc Tri of the VinaCapital Company, Le Hong Minh of the VinaGames Company and Huynh Buu Quang of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation – are expected to take part in the regatta.
The yacht performance and the awards ceremony will be held in Nha Trang city on October 29.
