PANO - A thanksgiving ceremony for water deity was held on February 11th by E De ethnic minority group in Buon Tuong village, Ninh Tay commune, Ninh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa Province.

The ceremony, a traditional custom of E De group, is to express thanks to the water deity for their bumper crops and good fortune in the previous year and to pray for fresh water, good weather and bumper crops in the new year. The event also helps consolidate unity in the community.

After the solemn rituals, the participants joined a parade towards a spring flowing through the village.
