Russian artists to perform in Vietnam
PANO – Artists from the Russian Institute of Theater Arts (GITIS) are performing popular plays for Vietnamese audiences in Hanoi and Vung Tau City from April 11 to 14.
The performances are organized by the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Hanoi, sponsored by Vietsovpetro, Sungroup, Haseco and the Vietnam-Russia Bank. The activity will serve as the kick-start for the “Russian Cultural Days” scheduled in December 2017.

Accordingly, the Russian artists are staging a series of Russian popular plays, including “Trai tim cho” (Heart of a Dog) by Mikhail Bulgakov, “Cau Vanya” (Uncle Vanya) and “Cau chuyen toi te” (A Boring Story) by WriterAnton Chekhov along with Russian folk dancing and singing.
2017 is a special year for both Vietnam and Russia as Vietnam will host the APEC Summit in November 2017 with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
These meaningful activities will contribute to improving the efficiency in the Vietnam-Russia cultural cooperation and comprehensive strategic partnership.
