PANO – Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism launched three photo exhibitions on the city’s construction and development on April 26th to mark the South Liberation Day and International Labor Day (on April 30th and May 1st).
The three events, themed “Ho Chi Minh City: 38 years of construction and development”, “Economy of Ho Chi Minh City in the integration period” and “Ho Chi Minh City with urban area construction and development”, are respectively run at the Lam Son and Chi Lang Parks and on Dong Khoi Street in District 1 until May 10th.
They introduce more than 220 photos and 3 synopses featuring heroic traditions of people and troops in South Vietnam in the national anti-American resistance war, including the Ho Chi Minh Campaign, under the Party’s guideline and the North’s practical support, making contributions to the national reunification.
Besides, the photos on display also depict the city’s Party committee, authorities and people on healing war wounds, achieving results in science and technology, education and training, socio-economic development, international integration, and taking the lead in the national industrialization and modernization, deserving the city bearing the name of beloved Uncle Ho.
