The festival consisted of two main parts, namely ceremonial rituals and festive activities. The ceremonial part included traditional rituals with the aim of praying for bumper hauls of fish and safe voyages. The festive part featured folk activities tied to fishermen’s life, such as net weaving, basket spinning, tug-of-war, and others.

According to Do Nguyen Ngoc, Vice Chairman of the Thanh Khe district People’s Committee and head of the organizing board of the festival, the event is an annual activity to preserve the spiritual values and traditions of people in coastal localities. The festival’s activities also contribute to strengthening community bonds and giving people a deeper understanding of the cultural and spiritual values of coastal fishing villages.

The festival lasted until February 17, attracting a large number of locals and tourists.
