In order to restore and promote the value of Phat Tich pagoda in Tien Du, Bac Ninh Province, a VND 24 billion project has been started. Accordingly, the steeple and the Three Refuges will be restored.

Built during the 7th-10th centuries with a number of the tangible cultural heritages, the pagoda is at the top of a list of typical antiques, especially its statue of the Amitaba Buddha (1057), a row of animals in front of the pagoda’s front yard, and the statue of Zen monk Chuyet Chuyet, as well as 32 towers erected in the 17th-20th centuries.

Together with the Phat Tich pagoda, 21 items in Den Do and the Temple of the Ly Kings Relics Area where 8 Ly Kings are worshiped in Dinh Bang Commune, Bac Ninh Province, will also be restored. In particular, the stone bridge which connects the central chamber with the Vong Nguyen Lake will be restored to its original state.

The restoration will be completed in time to welcome the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.
