Of the four winners, documentary “Chu Tan Kra” by Director, Major Vu Minh Phuong, won the Silver Lotus award, while “Camp Davis” by Director, People’s Artist, Senior Colonel Luu Quynh was awarded a prize from the jury.

The science film “Organ transplant”, by Director Lieutenant Colonel Pham Hong Thang bagged a prize from the jury while its script, written by Major Le Danh Truong, won the Best Script Award.
“Chu Tan Kra” tells a story of a wounded soldier of Regiment 209 who spent years searching for remains of his comrades who had laid down their lives in the Chu Tan Kra mountain range in Sa Thay district, Kon Tum province. Through the documentary, viewers understand more about the nice comradeship among soldiers who fought in the same theatre, and good relations between people in Sa Thay and soldiers from Hanoi.
Meanwhile, “Davis Camp” is about a defense diplomacy battle that forced the U.S. side and the Nguyen Van Thieu government to strictly implement the Paris Accord, contributing to the national unification in 1975.
“Organ transplant,” directed by director Pham Hong Thang, recalls the efforts and contributions of military medical personnel in improving the quality of healthcare.
This year, the People’s Army Cinema sent 18 works to compete in different categories at the 21st Vietnam Film Festival. The winning works of the People’s Army Cinema help viewers, especially younger generations, better understand the glorious history of the nation and learn more about silent sacrifices of troops in both wartime and peacetime.
