The event was co-organized by the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education; the Ministries of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Foreign Affairs, and Natural Resources and Environment; the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam People’s Army; and the Vietnam Photographers’ Association and attended by Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia, and leaders of ministries and agencies.

This year’s contest attracted the participation of over 1,000 photographic art lovers and photographers from 59 provinces and cities nationwide, with nearly 6,000 entries.

Concluding the event, the organizing panel awarded two first, four second, six third, and ten consolation prizes to winners. The photo series themed “Scenery along the coast of Phu Yen” by author Le Chau Dao (Phu Yen province) and the photo “Tuy Phong beach village” by author Tu The Duy (Kien Giang province) bagged two first prizes in the contest.
