Military winners of photo contest on environment awarded
PANO - The Vietnam Military History Museum under the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP), held a ceremony, chaired by its Deputy Chief Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, to conclude and award winners of a photo contest themed “The military in response to climate change and environmental protection” on December 15.

The contest received nearly 800 entries from 33 military units. After three rounds, the organizing panel awarded one excellent, three first, ten second, 20 third, 31 consolation and potential prizes to authors.
In addition, five units with outstanding achievements in the contest’s organization work were also presented with certificates of merit.
Addressing the event, General Quyet congratulated the winners, expressing his delight that the contest largely attracted the participation of troops in the whole military. In addition, the entries have good quality and contents as regulated.

The GDP’s Deputy Chief requested leaders of military units to promote their leadership and dissemination work so as to raise troops’ awareness of environmental protection.
Furthermore, they should also renovate content and form and raise quality of entries to further disseminate and improve the effectiveness of environmental protection in their units.
