PANO – A Khmer pagoda complex was unveiled on November 23rd at the Culture and Tourism Village of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups in Dong Mo, Son Tay town, Hanoi, after three-year construction.

Built on an area of 0.8 hectare, the complex, an imitation of K’Leang Pagoda in the Mekong Delta region, includes a sanctum, a main altar, a crematorium, a ghe ngo house, a boat house, a flag tower and a lotus pond. Each structure was tiled and decorated with patterns of Khmer people. 

Mr. Lam Van Khang, Deputy Head of the Management Board of the village said that the complex, together with other projects, created common house for Vietnamese ethnic groups. The project, pride of Khmer people, will be spiritual culture destination of Khmer people as well as help promote the connection between Khmer community and other Vietnamese communities and international friends.

At the unveiling ceremony, cultural rites were organized by Khmer people at the sanctum.
