Japanese delegation visits Dong Van Karst Plateau
PANO - A delegation of the Mine-Akiyoshidai Karst Plateau Geopark of Japan, led by its Director Takahiro Koda, paid a visit to Dong Van Karst Plateau, a UNESCO-recognized Global Geopark, on November 7-9 and shared experience in geopark development and building.
During the working visit in Ha Giang province, the Japanese delegation visited tourist attractions in the four districts of Quan Ba, Yen Minh, Meo Vac, and Dong Van.
According to Mr. Takahiro Koda, geopark is a model spreading cultural values from generation to generation, contributing to raising younger generation’s awareness of the significance of heritage protection. Through the business trip to Ha Giang, the Japanese delegation expressed their hope to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geopark to strengthen the cooperative relationship between the two geoparks.
Meanwhile, after the tour, the Japanese tourist guides would learn more experience and then share with the tour guide community of the Mine-Akiyoshidai Karst Plateau Geopark.
