A Japanese culture festival with various activities was launched at the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organisations on August 19 to mark the 15th founding anniversary of the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association.
Images of Japan and its people, comedies, art performances, tea ceremony and dishes attracted many participants.
On this occasion, Ikuo Mizuki, Japanese General Consul in Ho Chi Minh City, applauded activities held by the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association for improving understanding between the two countries.
He added that many other activities would be launched to mark the 35th founding anniversary of Vietnam-Japan relations in 2008.
