International guests impressed at Mirror House
PANO - The upgraded Mirror House in the Hanoi-based Thong Nhat (Reunification) Park laid deep impression on forty members of the Friends of Vietnam Heritage during their visit to the house on January 14.
The international guests are those who are living and working in Hanoi.
At the house, they were introduced to the ceramic work covering the exterior of the house by painter Nguyen Thu Thuy who is famous for a ceramic road, the biggest ceramic national flag in the Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelago, and the ceramic heart of love by Truc Bach Lake.

They asked questions to painter Thuy, praised her for creative ideas and the capital city for their art support as well as involved artists and artisans for their coordination.
On behalf of the capital’s citizens, painter Thuy sent a deep thank to the Czech Republic for building the Mirror House for the capital in 1979 via Renata Greploud, wife of the Czech Ambassador to Vietnam.
Mrs. Renata Greploud and other international friends were excited about visiting the house with its exterior decorated with ceramic 3D paintings of Ha Long Bay and Truong Sa.
Concluding the visit, international visitors expressed their wish to have long-term cooperation with painter Thu Thuy in popularizing public art works of Hanoi among foreign communities in the capital city and other international visitors.
