In his opening remarks, Le Xuan Kieu, Director of the Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam Culture and Science Center, affirmed that through visual language, artists convey humane messages, reflect cross-cultural influences, and inspire connections across international communities. He stressed that the event was not only an artistic rendezvous, but also a space for cultural dialogue, spreading creative inspiration and friendship.

The exhibition features 49 artworks by 24 artists from three countries, showcasing themes of heritage, people, and nature through distinctive artistic styles. Visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a colorful visual journey, experiencing the richness of artistic expression, aesthetic vision, and cultural depth from Vietnam, Spain, and the Philippines.

In this context, Vietnamese art exemplifies a fusion of tradition and modernity. Spanish art, deeply rooted in its rich traditions and the profound influence of Surrealism, represents a bold and powerfully expressive spirit. Philippine art is a harmony of indigenous, Spanish, American, and Asian cultures, resulting in a style that is both unrestrained and profoundly insightful.

Representing the participating artists, Artist Le Thi Thanh affirmed that this exhibition offered a great opportunity for the visual arts of Vietnam, Spain, and Philippines to voice their shared narratives. Painting, graphic arts, sculpture, installation, and 3D mapping projection (the project of images onto architectural surfaces) interweaved seamlessly, transcending all boundaries of geography, language, and time to become a bridge connecting souls. Each artwork displayed today tells a unique story of history, cultural identity, and aspiration. On presented together, they depict a grand tableau of friendship, mutual respect, and sustainable cooperation among nations.

The exhibition will run until September 21. This significant event actively promotes international cultural exchange and enhances the image of Hanoi, a member of UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network (UCCN).
