Interesting activities during Ho Chi Minh City’s Ao dai festival
PANO - A series of activities inspiring people to wear Ao dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress) and spreading the love for Ao dai were held in different places in Ho Chi Minh City.
These activities were part of the ongoing seventh Ho Chi Minh City’s Ao dai Festival.
During the events, taking place at the War Remnants Museum, the municipal Post Office, the Youth Cultural House and other well-known places like schools and industrial parks, the audiences, including domestic and international tourists, were entertained with impressive Ao dai shows.

* On November 14, the Ao dai Museum held a ceremony to receive a number of Ao dai donated by teachers, diplomats, and cultural activists.
The donors included former Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Dang Thi Bich Lien, former Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Phuong Nga, Eminent Artisan Hong Oanh, teacher Nguyen Binh Minh, and others.
These Ao dai used to be worn by the donors. Notably, there are Ao dai aged over 50 and worn at important domestic and international events.

At the ceremony, the donors held discussions with youths about Ao dai-related stories with close attachment with the national education cause, foreign affairs, and promotion of national culture.
First initiated in 2014, the Ho Chi Minh City’s Ao Dai Festival has become an outstanding cultural and tourism event in the city. The seventh festival will run until November 20 (the Vietnamese Teachers’ Day).
