Ho Chi Minh City to host fine arts exhibition for young artists
The fourth Ho Chi Minh City Biennale Art Exhibition for young artists will be held at the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum next month.
The exhibition, organized by the city’s Fine Arts Association and University of Fine Arts and their partners, targets Vietnamese artists aged 18-45.

It will display 134 artworks created from 2015-2016 by 98 artists from 15 cities and provinces such as Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Binh Duong and Can Tho.
These works include 121 paintings, 10 sculptures, two video artworks and an installation, reflecting contemporary issues.
The organizers will award 11 prizes for best works at the exhibition, which will be selected by veteran artists such as Uyen Huy, Ca Le Thang, Le Xuan Chieu, Siu Quy, and Bui Hai Son.
In addition, a workshops on young artists and fine arts promotion will be organized during the event.
This year’s exhibition will take place from April 20-30 at the museum, 97A Pho Duc Chinh street in District 1.
The exhibition, first held in 2009, aims to discover new faces in Vietnam’s arts community.
