The race was conducted in a time-trial format. The team with the fastest time with no violation of competition rules would be declared the winner. Each team consisted of 12 athletes, racing over a distance of 1.5 kilometers.

Competing in a spirit of solidarity, honesty, and fair play, rowers delivered thrilling chases and dramatic sprints, attracting thousands of spectators who came to cheer them on.

The boat race is a long-standing traditional festival of riverine communities in Son Giang and Huong Son communes. Closely associated with local cultural values, the event helps promote physical training and improve public health, while also expressing hopes for favorable weather and abundant harvests.
