The Nord Pas-de-Calais region and the French Senate have financially assisted Hue in restoring ancient houses, according to the Thua Thien-Hue province People’s Committee.
Houses in bad condition need to be restored in order to preserve architectural and cultural values.
They are expected to be upgraded in August at a cost of VND 100-150 million each.
Earlier, the French Senate donated VND 400 million to restore the traditional house of the Dang clan, the family of martyr Dang Thuy Tram, and four other houses in Hue at the cost of VND 600 million.
