PANO – The first private memorial house “Russian literature in Vietnam” opened in Phu Luu ward, Tu Son town, Bac Ninh province on May 23rd.
The two-storey house, built by translator and poet Hoang Thuy Toan, exhibits his own collection of books, newspapers and publications relating to Russian literature in Vietnam since early 20th century.
Especially, the author reserved a space to introduce items on different contents, such as “Uncle Ho with Russia”, and “Topics on Russian in Vietnamese literature and vice versa”.
The First Secretary of the Russian Embassy to Vietnam Vladimir Shustov affirmed that the memorial house is the place where the heritage of the Russian literature was carefully preserved and also the venue of Russian language learners to exchange and learn more about the Russian literature.
