Film festival contributes to national cinema development
PANO - The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a seminar themed “Vietnam Film Festival in national cinema development campaign” in Da Nang city on November 26.
17 reports sent to the seminar
focused on the construction and development of Vietnam's cinema over the past 65
years with many remarkable hallmarks in line with the country’s history.
The seminar was to reaffirm the
important achievements of the past 19 film festivals in the development of the
national cinema and to highlight that cinema is an art form to dynamically
reflect the national history, culture, society and lives of the people.
However, delegates discussed a
number of issues including the absence of state-invested films, revenues, the
balance between commercial and artistic films, copyrights, advertising, and
distribution, especially in the trend of international integration.
