European-Vietnamese documentary film festival wraps up
PANO - The eighth European-Vietnamese Documentary Festival concluded on June 18 in Ho Chi Minh City after ten days.
The festival, taking place in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, screened 31 typical documentaries of Vietnam and ten European countries, which won awards at different international film festivals.
Those documentaries brought audiences new and multidimensional views on society, relationship between people and environment, explorations of new lands and under new topics.
According to the organizing panel- the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) and the National Documentary and Scientific Film Studio of Vietnam- the festival, with a series of activities, including documentary screenings, exchanges, and film project introductions, has secured its position in the cultural life of Vietnamese people, meeting the cultural exchange demands of Vietnam and other countries.
At the closing ceremony, insignias were presented to participating countries.
