Ethnic minority people to join program marking President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday
PANO –The Management Board of the Culture-Tourism Village of Vietnamese ethnic groups of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has launched a program in May to mark the 129th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh and the 50th anniversary of the implementation of his will.

Accordingly, activities during the program will attract the participation of around 100 people of the Tay, Dao, H’mong, Thai, Muong, Kho Mu, Ta Oi, Co Tu, Ba Na, Xo Dang, Raglai, Ede, and Khmer ethnic minority groups from 12 localities, as well as artists and students from the Vietnam National Puppetry Theatre and the Viet Bac Culture and Arts College.
The program highlight is an artistic shows on May 18 and 19 at the village demonstrating the sentiment of ethnic minority people for President Ho Chi Minh. Dances and songs will be performed by students from the Viet Bac Culture and Arts College.
It also includes traditional festivals of ethnic minority groups, such as a ceremony to reflect the To Mon Ritual of the Ba Na people of Gia Lai province and Vesak festival at the Khmer people’s Pagoda, a puppetry performance, and among others.
The program aims to promote the “Study and Follow President Ho Chi Minh’s Morals and Style” movement among ethnic minority people, encourage cultural exchanges among them, and popularize their cultural features and customs to domestic and international visitors, contributing to attracting more visitors to the village.
