In particular, festivals have been held, while clubs have been established to pass the group’s folk singing down to young generation. Thanks to the efforts, young people have become more proud of their group’s traditions.

Recently, Tien Yen district collaborated with Hai Lang commune, which is home to a large population of San Diu people, to organize San Diu cultural and sports festival. A series of activities were held during the festival in a bid to preserve and boost the cultural values of the San Diu people.

The San Diu ethnic minority people in Quang Ninh province account for around 1.83% of the province’s population.
