Vietnam will compete in Group B of the ASEAN U22 Football Championship this August in Brunei.

Vietnam U19 team will compete against Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia and Brunei, with the first match starting on August 9.

The Group B concludes with Thailand, the Philippines, Laos, East Timor and Myanmar.

Teams will compete in a round-robin format, with the two strongest teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals.

The final is planned for August 23.

The tournament is considered an important warm-up for those Vietnamese youth who take part in the ASEAN U19 Football Championship on home turf ten days later.
