Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mrs. Vo Thi Binh, Deputy Chairwoman of the People’s Committee of Sa Dec city, shared that the festival was organized to boost tourism development and effectively exploit the tourism potential of Sa Dec in the time to come.

In particular, the locality will focus on developing new types of tourism to serve domestic and foreign tourists through holding annual events and festivals to stimulate tourism demand and create an atmosphere of joy and safety for local people and visitors.

Participating in the festival this year, visitors will have a chance to enjoy the beauty of “the river of flowers,” take a sightseeing tour through flower farms, and take photos with hundreds of flowers blooming at Sa Dec flower village.

Attentively, various activities will take place within the framework of the festival, including drawing competitions, exhibitions, street dance performances, and parades, and other competitions.

It is an occasion for the locality to popularize the image and culture of the people in Sa Dec city and Dong Thap province, contributing to accelerating the city’s tourism development in the coming time, Mrs. Binh underlined.
