The 30-episode documentary, consisting of a number of witnesses’ stories as well as valuable Vietnamese and international historical documents from 1975 to 1989 about the war along Vietnam’s southwestern border and the noble mission of Vietnamese voluntary soldiers to help Cambodian armed forces wipe out the Pol Pot genocidal regime and free the country, will help viewers understand why the war was unavoidable.
The movie is directed by director Le Phong Lan and co-produced by Ho Chi Minh City Television and the Ban Sac Viet Television Film Studio Co., Ltd.
