Accordingly, the thematic exhibition “The history of world coffee” comprised three parts featuring three coffee civilizations through the over-12-century history of the world and Vietnamese coffee industry, namely Ottoman, Roman and Zen.

Nguyen Viet Dung, a visitor from Hanoi, shared that the exhibition gave him a better understanding of the history, the origin and the development of coffee industry, as well as coffee’s contribution to the economic development, among others.

Meanwhile, the second one displayed outstanding photos selected from a contest which was held from November 23, 2022, to February 21, 2023, to honor the coffee industry and the culture of enjoying coffee of Vietnamese people.

According to Mr. H’Yim Kdoh, Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak provincial People’s Committee, the two exhibitions contribute to popularizing the history and the culture of the world and Vietnamese coffee in general, and promote the Buon Ma Thuot coffee brand in particular.

Along with the two exhibitions, other various activities also take place during the coffee festival, including the Lao water-splashing festival, the wedding ceremony of the Ede ethnic group, the costume festival of K'Ho ethnic people, playing gongs with local people, and making coffee in Zen, Roman, or Ottoman styles, to name but a few.

The two exhibitions will run until May 9, 2023.
