Culture-tourism week underway in Bac Giang province
A culture and tourism week is taking place in the northern province of Bac Giang from January 29 to February 12 under the theme “Bac Giang – the sacred land of Tay Yen Tu”.
Tourists have been exploring the local culture thanks to traditional festivals, while experiencing community-based tourism services.
At the opening ceremony, the province presented a certificate recognising the Xuong Giang victory site in Xuong Giang city as a national special relic.

An exhibition showcasing documents and objects about the victory is also open to the public.
Located in the Lang Son - Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh economic corridor and bestowed with stunning natural landscapes like the Tay Yen Tu Nature Reserve, Khe Ro Forest, Dong Cao Plateau, and Khuon Than Lake, Bac Giang has huge potential for tourism development.
The province is home to more than 2,200 historic and cultural relic sites, including Quan ho (romantic duet singing) which was recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, and Ca Tru, which was named by UNESCO on its Intangible Cultural Heritage list in need of urgent protection.
