All cultural activities recaptured typical cultural spaces of the eight minority ethnic groups in the locality.
Also at the festival, the committee received the certificate recognizing the 45m-high ironwood tree of more than 1,100 years old in Nghe village, Xuan Luong commune, as a national heritage tree.
The festival aimed to popularize local potential and strengths for development of tourism and cultural heritage values, in contribution to preserving, building on and honoring cultural features of the local minority ethnic groups, educating younger generations of the locality's patriotism, consolidating the great national unity bloc, boosting local socio-economic development and improving cultural and spiritual life for locals.
The same day, the local authorities inaugurated the Xuan Lung-Nga Waterfall eco-spiritual tourism site. Accordingly, tourists can visit communal houses, pagodas, and the Xuan Lung old well, contemplate ironwood tree - the newly-recognized national heritage tree, and explore green tea gardens in Ven village and Nga Waterfall ecological site.
