According to the document, the event will be jointly held by the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition and relevant agencies and units.

Several artistic photos of Vietnamese landscapes

The biennial event gives photographers across the country a chance to meet and introduce their most excellent art photos to domestic and international photo lovers. It is also an opportunity for management agencies and photographic sector to review and evaluate the outcomes of Vietnamese photographers in 2021 and 2022, thus seeking the right path for the development of Vietnam’s photographic sector in the international integration period.  

Through the contest and exhibition, the organizers want to encourage photographers to have more valuable works to serve people’s cultural and spiritual life. The event is also expected to popularize Vietnam and its people to domestic and international viewers.

The contest is eligible for all Vietnamese and overseas Vietnamese photographers, aged 18 and above. Participants are encouraged to take photos, capturing the life, culture, landscapes, nature, national construction and defense efforts, natural disaster and disease response, among others. Entries must be taken from July 2020 to July 2022. 

The organizing panel will present two gold, four silver, eight bronze, and 16 consolation prizes to outstanding photographers.

The launch of the contest is scheduled to be held in March, while closing ceremony of the contest and the opening ceremony of the exhibition are slated for October in Ho Chi Minh City and November in Hanoi. The online exhibition will be held in October to serve art photo lovers.
