A performance of “Kuricorder and Friends" in Luang Prabang, Laos

“Kuricorder and Friends” was formed from the amalgamation of Kuricorder Quartet, Beautiful Hummingbird and Chiku Toshiaki.

They are well-known as a flute quartet, playing various kinds of flutes, together with several other musical instruments, such as the melodica, saxophone, tuba, ukulele, “Jew's harp” and percussion instruments.

The ensemble is famous for, amongst other music familiar to the public, the theme music of a famous Japanese TV program titled “PythagoraSwitch’’ on NHK channel.

The performance in Hanoi will take place at 8pm on January 12, 2018 at the Youth Theatre at 11 Ngo Thi Nham Street; while the program in Ho Chi Minh City will began at 8pm on January 14, 2018 at the City Conservatory of Music at 112 Nguyen Du Street.

The ensemble began their tours to Southeast Asia in 2015. This will be the third time that they have performed in Vietnam after tours in 2013 and 2016.
