The book compiles General Nguyen Trong Nghia’s key articles and speeches delivered during the 13th National Party Congress tenure. It provides a systematic overview of major issues related to the Party’s ideological work while offering strategic orientations for improving the effectiveness of information, education, and mass mobilization efforts in the country’s new stage of development.
Structured into six sections, the publication covers major areas of ideological work, including safeguarding the Party’s ideological foundation, strengthening political unity and public confidence, promoting the study and application of President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and lifestyle, fostering national development aspirations, advancing Vietnamese cultural values and human strengths, building a professional and modern press, publishing and communications system, and enhancing the quality of other ideological work activities.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam, Director and Editor-in-Chief of the Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House, emphasized that the book highlights the need for ideological work to proactively guide public opinion, build social consensus, and promote national unity while effectively combining national strength with the strengths of the era.
He noted that one of the book’s key messages is the close relationship between strengthening the Party’s ideological foundation and reinforcing public trust in the Party, the State, and the socialist system. In the current context, public confidence must be built not only through communication efforts but also through effective policies, sound governance, exemplary conduct by officials and Party members, and timely responses to public concerns.

Addressing the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Truong Thien To highlighted three major values of the publication. First, the book systematically explains the important role of ideological work in national construction and defense, affirming that it must take the lead in shaping and promoting national, cultural, family, and human values.
Second, it reflects innovative thinking on both the content and methods of ideological work in the new era, particularly the need to pro-actively monitor public sentiment, improve political education, enhance the persuasiveness and effectiveness of communication, and counter hostile and wrongful viewpoints in the digital environment.
Third, the book provides practical guidance for building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern Vietnam People’s Army. It contributes to strengthening the military’s political foundation, reinforcing loyalty to the Party, the nation, and the people, promoting internal unity and close military-civilian relations, and enhancing the determination, confidence, and resilience of officers and soldiers in safeguarding the country under new conditions.
At the ceremony, copies of the book were presented to leaders of central agencies and other participants.
