PANO - 200 copies of a poetry collection entitled “Hundred-Year Tree of Life” were presented by teachers and poet Giang Ngoc Diep, who uses the pen-name Van Ngoc, to Naval Vietnamese soldiers, through the People’s Army Newspaper, on November 28th, in Hanoi.
Born in 1938 in Thai Binh Province, poet Giang Ngoc Diep inherited and continues to promote a tradition of teaching past down from five generations of his family. With a hope that all children might receive an education, he has given numerous lectures throughout Vietnam, from mountainous areas to low-lands, and from rural to urban regions for over 40 years.
His “Hundred-Year Tree of Life” poetry collection includes 66 poems, all of which feature the sincerity and emotion of a devoted teacher for the noble cause of teaching local people.
200 copies were handed over to Senior Lieutenant-Colonel Dinh Xuan Bay, Deputy Director of the Public Relations Office under the Navy’s Political Department.
