The events are:

1. The Da Nang Fine Arts Museum was officially inaugurated and opened to public on December 19. The museum currently accommodates 604 art works and traditional handicraft products made by famous artists from the Central Region (including the Central Highlands).

2. The 2nd ASEAN Graphic Paintings - Vietnam 2016 competition and exhibition opened from December 14 to 22, showcasing 138 works by 108 painters from 10 ASEAN member countries. The contest aimed to develop ASEAN member countries’ relationship, cultural exchange, and international cooperation in fine arts.

3. The “Open Door – Vietnam's fine arts during 30 years of renewal” exhibition. The nine-day exhibition from September 21 to 29 displayed 49 works, reviewing the achievements of Viet Nam Fine Arts in the last 30 years of renewal.

4. The sculptural and architectural works exhibition, featuring 68 works placed in front of head offices, buildings, residential areas, parks, aimed to beautify the landscape and enrich citizens’ daily lives.

5. The “Art in the forest 2016” exhibition in Flamingo Dai Lai on October 22, displayed sculpture art works of artists at home and abroad.

6. The Exhibition “Today” with the participation of 53 contemporary artists to share their point of view on human being, life, society and nature, especially their passion and dedication for art.

7. The “Vietnam - Country - People” competition and exhibition. The competition included 875 sets of photos by 300 photographers nationwide, focusing on current events and current affairs of the country.

8. The biannual Vietnam art exhibition 2016 in Kien Giang province, held on the occasion of the National Tourism Year 2016 - Phu Quoc - Mekong Delta, aimed to review and honor achievements of Vietnamese photographers, and popularize the country’s beauty to foreign tourists.  

9. The photo exhibition on Vietnam’s world heritage in Seoul, the Republic of Korea opened on May 20, with 100 photos introducing the beauty and promoting tourism of Vietnam.

10. The “Daily life beauty” competition and photo exhibition for students. The event, the first of its kind, was organized to encourage young citizens to introduce and do more good deeds in their daily life.
