He noted that alongside undergraduate and postgraduate programs, the university regularly implements short-term and practice-oriented training courses for public officials and enterprise managers from both Vietnam and abroad. These programs aim to bridge academic training with practical requirements of economic development.

The SOE governance course for Lao officials is part of this orientation, he added.

The program features five thematic modules covering key issues in SOE management, including an overview of SOE governance, reform trends and sovereign wealth fund models, financial management and internal control, corporate culture development, and linkages between the private sector and SOEs.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Khamphao Ernthavanh highlighted the expanding and substantive cooperation cross all fields, underpinned by the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

The ambassador urged participants to study seriously, make full use of the opportunity, and actively exchange experience with Vietnamese experts, noting that although the training duration is short, the content is highly rich and practical.

She expressed her belief that participants will gain valuable theoretical and practical knowledge to apply effectively in their work.

On this occasion, the university donated 50 computers to the Lao Academy Economics and Finance’s northern office, supporting lecturers and students in accessing knowledge and modern technology, contributing to training high-quality human resources for the country.
