In an interview with Vietnam News Agency reporters in Phnom Penh before traveling to Vietnam, the veteran journalist expressed his deep emotions when returning to Ho Chi Minh City for the second time to participate in the event commemorating the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, at the invitation of the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia. Thirty years ago, he had an opportunity to attend celebration activities of the 20th anniversary.
During this business trip to Vietnam, the veteran Cambodian journalist expressed a desire to visit the metro line in Ho Chi Minh City, to compare it with metro systems he had experienced in Singapore, Thailand, and other countries.
According to him, beyond the metro system, Vietnam is undergoing a transformation with many other large-scale infrastructure projects, such as airports, expressways, and high-speed rail.
Khieu Kola assessed that in recent years, Vietnam's economy has developed rapidly and gained a lot of breakthroughs, with capable leaders and Party members being promoted to important positions, helping the country progress. He emphasized that the country has chosen a right path.
