More martyrs' remains repatriated in Nghe An province
PANO – The Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of Nghe An province, on May 14, held a memorial and burial ceremony for fallen Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisers in Laos at the Nghi Loc National War Cemetery.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Vietnam People’s Army, XiengKhouang, Vientiane and Xaysomboun provinces of Laos, leaders of Nghe An province, and a large number of local people.

In the 2018-2019 dry season, the search and collection team of the Military Command of Nghe An province was assigned to searching and repatriating Vietnamese martyrs’ remains in the three Lao provinces of XiengKhouang, Vientiane and Xaysomboun. The province’s repatriation team collected 98 sets of remains of fallen Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisers.
At the ceremony, participants offered incense and flowers to pay the last respect to the fallen Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisers who sacrificed themselves for peace, independence, international missions, and the special friendship and solidarity of the two countries.
