CAFEO 28 to take place in Hanoi
The 28th Conference of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (CAFEO 28) took place at The Melia Hotel, Hanoi yesterday with the participation of 500 technicians from 10 CAFEO member countries, engineering organisations of the US, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the World Federation of Engineering Organisations (WFEO) and representatives of universities and businesses.
The 28th Conference of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (CAFEO 28) took place at The Melia Hotel, Hanoi yesterday with the participation of 500 technicians from 10 CAFEO member countries, engineering organisations of the US, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the World Federation of Engineering Organisations (WFEO) and representatives of universities and businesses.
CAFEO 28, entitled “Engineering and Technology for a Better Quality of Life in response to climate change challenges” was hosted by the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations.
This is a forum for scientists and engineers to share their experiences and discuss technical solutions to cope with global climate change challenges as well as improve the ASEAN people’s living standards.
Participants introduced their country’s technological developments in this year and their development for next year, focusing on five main topics including the engineering and technology for buildings and infrastructures; environmental engineering and technology; energy, mechanical, electrical engineering and information technology; engineering education and training; engineering and technology for health, safety and management.
On this occasion, meetings of specialised councils and AFEO leaders, technical exhibitions on research works and new products also took place as sideline events.
The CAFEO is an annual conference hosted alternately by 10 ASEAN nations to boost mutual understanding, cooperation and share experiences.
The CAFEO 28 will last until December 4th.
