ASEAN-New Zealand trade hits USD 109 billion
New Zealand’s two-way trade with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) was NZD 15.2 billion (USD 10.9 billion) in the year ended in June 2017, according to the statistics department Stats NZ.

Goods and services exported to ASEAN countries totaled NZD 6.3 billion, and imports were NZD 8.9 billion, Stats NZ said.
Dairy products, including milk powder and cheese, were the main goods exported from New Zealand to ASEAN, followed by meat, logs, fruit, and wood pulp and waste paper.
Petroleum and related products was New Zealand’s largest goods import from ASEAN in the year with most of these petroleum imports coming from Singapore, the department said.
