Jointly organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) and the provincial People’s Committee, the exhibition showcases publications, documents, items and around 100 maps published by domestic and international researchers and scholars on the Truong Sa and Hoang Sa archipelagos.
The displayed documents affirmed that Vietnam has long asserted, exercised and protected its sovereignty over the two archipelagos throughout its history, said MIC Deputy Minister Hoang Vinh Bao at the opening ceremony.
The five-day exhibition is to nurture people’s patriotism and enhance the awareness of the national construction and defense campaign among troops and people.
