Saigon Newport Corporation and Central Highlands provinces coordinate in dissemination
PANO – Saigon Newport Corporation, in collaboration with the Dak Nong, Gia Lai, and Kon Tum provincial Party Committees’ Information and Education Commissions, held a conference on March 18 in Ho Chi Minh City to review their coordination in disseminating sea and islands-related information and sign coordination program in 2023.
At the event, representatives of Saigon Newport Corporation and provinces’ Information and Education Commissions reviewed the outcomes of their coordination in disseminating information related to sea and islands and attracting resources in 2022. In particular, the corporation worked with localities to popularize sea and islands-related information to around 3,000 officials, Party members, war veterans, locals, and students through different forms and channels.
The business cooperated with the Gia Lai provincial Party Committee’s Information and Education Commission organized an online contest on Vietnamese sea and islands and 40 years of United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS 1982), attracting the participation of around 900,000 contestants from 63 provinces and cities.
Together with information dissemination activities, the corporation has effectively carried out policy work in the three provinces; given care to additional 26 martyrs’ relatives, bringing the total number of Heroic Vietnamese Mothers and martyrs’ relatives taken care of by the business in the three localities to 53; provided financial assistance to building 15 gratitude houses; presented scholarships to needy students with good academic results and gifts to policy beneficiaries, those with good service to the revolution, needy ethnic minority people, wounded and sick soldiers.
At the event, delegates agreed that in 2023, the three provinces and Saigon Newport Corporation will closely follow higher levels’ direction and orientation; actively diversify dissemination forms; focus on enriching youths, students, ethnic minority people, and mountainous people’s knowledge about sea and islands; effectively combine mass mobilization work and gratitude activities, contributing to maintaining political stability for socio-economic development and enriching the traditions of Uncle Ho’s soldiers and naval troops.

Based on agreed contents, representatives of Saigon Newport Corporation and three provinces’ Information and Education Commissions signed coordination agreements in 2023.
On the occasion, the Naval Service presented Certificates of Merit to four collectives and 16 individuals with outstanding achievements in dissemination of sea and islands-related information in 2022.
