PANO - The first public school named after the Hoang Sa archipelago of Vietnam will be operational in the central region's city of Da Nang early this July, according to a recent decision of Son Tra district’s People’s Committee.

This secondary school on Vu Tong Phan Street of Tho Quang ward will make schooling more convenient for local fishermen’s children.

Dang Van Ngu, the former chairman of the Hoang Sa district’s People’s Committee, said the establishment of the school under the name of Hoang Sa archipelago is important. It will help younger generations be fully aware of the fact that the Hoang Sa archipelago, which has been illegally occupied by China using violence since January 19th, 1974, is part of Vietnamese territory.
