Preparation for debut of seas and islands fund checked
PANO – The General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army on April 1 conducted a field survey to review preparations for launching the fund “For Vietnam’s Seas and Islands”.
The event saw the attendance of leaders of the Hai Phong municipal People’s Committee and local departments and agencies.
Following the direction of the fund’s Steering Committee, over the past time, affiliated bodies of the Fund Steering Committee have actively prepared for the launching ceremony.
The fund is scheduled to debut in Hai Phong city in early June when the COVID-19 pandemic is under control. The ceremony will be broadcasted live on VTV1 channel of the Vietnam Television, Vietnam National Defense television channel and other local television channels.
During the ceremony, an art exchange program will be held to honor outstanding examples in the cause of protecting sovereignty over seas and islands, as well as collectives and individuals with remarkable contributions to the fund.
