The work “Tuy Phong hamlet” by photographer Tu The Duy from Kien Giang wins the first prize in the category of single photo in the first “Fatherland by the waves” contest (2021)

Held every two years, the contest and exhibition aim to popularize the potential and natural beauty and people on Vietnam’s sea and islands to art lovers. Meanwhile, it also contributes to raising public awareness of the role of national sea and islands in the cause of national construction and defense.

The contest is open to Vietnamese citizens at home and abroad, and foreigners who are living and working in Vietnam. Contestants can submit up to 10 entries to the organizing panel. The entries must be single photo or photo series (5-8 photos), color or black and white photos. Photos that violate Vietnam’s sovereignty over sea and islands are not valid.

The organizing panel will present 2 first, 4 second, 6 third, and 10 consolation prizes for all categories. Participants can send their entries directly to the website www.anhnghethuatbiendaoquehuong2023.com until the end of September 2023.
