Over 68,000 visitors flock to Sa Pa on national holidays
PANO – It has been estimated that up to 68,000 tourists, including 7,500 foreigners, visited Sa Pa townlet in Sa Pa district, Lao Cai province on April 30 and May 1.
Furthermore, around 50,000 visitors traveled to the tourist site by the cable car system of Fansipan, and among them, nearly 16,000 travelers visited Cat Cat village and approximately 17,000 others toured Ham Rong Mountain. This means that the total revenue from tourism on these days was estimated at over VND 100 billion.
According to the initial report of the Sa Pa district People’s Committee, no traffic accidents occurred in the locality thanks to the public security force’s active operation. Apart from that, the local authorities also mobilized 120 Youth Union members to help provide information for tourists and assist functional forces to monitor traffic.
Visiting the site on this occasion, visitors enjoyed various activities such as the Sa Pa “love market”, a street festival, photo exhibition, flower festival and so on.
